Notre Dame Football Schedule 2010

Last Saturday, Tulsa got what was maybe the biggest win in program history, when they went to South Bend, IN and stunned a struggling Notre Dame squad. They return home looking to get their sixth win, and get bowl eligible. For that to happen, they’ll have to keep doing what they’ve done on offense all year, which is to continue to pile up points. They rank 13th in the country, averaging 37 per game, with one of the most balanced attacks college football. The star of the show is senior quarterback G.J. Kinne, and he alone is reason to make Tulsa one of your Free Football Picks this weekend. The former Texas Longhorn has thrown for a very impressive 2,016 yards this season, with 16 touchdowns, and tossed just six interceptions in 288 pass attempts.

The running game is also putting up big numbers, and enters this one averaging 219 yards a contest, which is sixth in the country. No one back stands out, with Damaris Johnson and Alex Singleton splitting carries.
Opposing Tulsa on Saturday will be the Rice owls, one of the struggling teams in all of college football. The Owls have lost five of six, with their only victory in that stretch coming over a beat up Houston team. Notre Dame Football Schedule 2010
There’s no sugar-coating what Rice is doing right now, and it’s hard to see them winning this game with the running game struggling as much as they have. In 2010, Rice ranks 103rd out of 120 Division I teams in rushing offense.
That only puts added pressure on quarterback Nick Fanuzzi, and the junior has struggled all year long. On the season, Fanuzzi is completing just 63 percent of his passes, and has thrown eight touchdowns and six interceptions.
However, as bad as that offense is, Rice’s biggest problem is on the defensive side of the ball. And when you add it all together, it seems like of all the Free Football Picks we could suggest, taking Tulsa would be the way to go. Notre Dame Football Schedule 2010
